A - Communication with Administration

We have a distinctive strategy.

If parents are concerned due to a predicament or need to seek information about their child, they set up a meeting with the person selected by the administration for that role. This person has a comprehensive overview of the child’s academic and non-academic record and can present the parents with the information necessary. If parents or child encounter any problem, this is impartially inquired into and a resolution is reached and followed up until the problem is concluded. This method is by far more effective and avoids the possibility of quarrel and exacerbation.

Parents are requested to communicate directly with the administration should they have questions or concerns about any aspect of their child’s life at school.  All queries will be forwarded to the appropriate Administrator.

For academic matters, however, the school has established a channel of communication that is, primarily, for the benefit of students but which also benefits all concerned.  Parents are respectfully requested to follow this procedure, which is to arrange an appointment with the administration.

B - Communication with Coordinators

Academic coordinators rather than teachers meet and discuss with parents the students’ academic progress. Academic coordinators have the information necessary concerning all elements of students’ academic lives.  Academic coordinators are most eligible to provide reports to parents on specific issues regarding student performance in comparison to the class level and standard level within each grade. Coordinators also can compare student progress with the same grade in previous years or to provide a comparison with the TMS® standards.

Appointments with the appropriate academic coordinator may be made through the school secretary.

C - Communication with Teachers

For academic purposes, parents are asked to arrange an appointment by calling the school secretary. The secretary will assign a date and time where the parents can meet with the teacher in question. Abiding by these appointments provides the best way for both parents and teachers to be prepared for a fruitful meeting to discuss the students’ academic progress.
