Students take regular internal examinations throughout their academic lives.  These tests are divided according to specific periods of each term, along with the term exams that students take at the end of the term. From grade 1 to grade 3 (~5+ to 8+ years of age), students take Continuous Assessment Tests.  From grade 4 onwards, students sit for tests in most of the core subjects each week, and undergo written exams in each subject twice a term.  Students may also be required to sit for a Repeat and/or Make-up exam. All exams are closely proctored.

Periodic Exams: A Periodic Exam is taken in each subject twice a term.  This series of tests is administered over a period of one week.  Periodic Exams help to monitor student learning and allow for academic progress reports. This applies for grades 1 to 3.

Student's Monitoring Tests: These are quizzes, direct and multiple-choice questions.  They test the simplest units of information of the course. They are administered on a weekly basis and are designed to detect gaps, and allow follow-up to be timely and student specific.

Weekly Exams: These tests are taken on a weekly basis covering chapter-by-chapter and specific objectives taken up to that week of each term. These tests can be taken up to two times every term and test the students’ comprehension of concepts within a short period of time. These exams are applicable for grades 4 to 9.

Repeat Exams: Repeat exams are given as second chances for students who did not achieve the required passing grades. They study the lessons again and attend another exam at the administration’s discretion.

Make-up Exams: The administration retains the right to offer or deprive make-up exams for absentees depending on the validity of their excuse.
