At Tahwita Modern School, students are equipped for a steady transition from year-to-year through meticulous grounding and development. A special program is presented to students with no English proficiency or who are weak in English and/or Math. This intensive program conducts students up to the mandatory level in the briefest time possible, and the return of students to regular classes is at the administration’s discretion.

Kindergarten: In the kindergarten school, the basic aptitudes of Reading and Mathematics are taught in an interactive approach and in a friendly and positive environment. The target method is introduced from the early start in Nursery classes. The students revise material on day after day, supporting information impression for a long-term. All skills are prepared and practiced in class and there is no need for extra work with parents at home. The kindergarten classes are warm and hospitable, and their recreational area is secure and appealing equipped for an energizing setting. The kindergarten is a three-year cycle consisting of an English program with Arabic and French taught as fundamental part programs. The kindergarten is directed by the attitude that healthy premature childhood schooling is a crucial structure that supports the growth and development of the whole child. The kindergarten curriculum consists of Language Arts (English, Arabic and French), Creative Arts, Science, Mathematics, and Physical Education. Students are given confidence to become dynamic and autonomous learners, decisive and inventive academics, conscientious civilians and team member. Students are given the opportunity to construct meaning from their varied learning experiences using child-oriented, applied and cooperative activities. The school environment functions just like a loving family does, and sponsors a healthy, protective environment that acknowledges skilled learners and rewards their efforts and progress. The TMS® kindergarten department is a place for young children to discover, explore, investigate, experiment and enjoy learning. Elementary (First and Second Cycle): In the elementary school, the target method and group work are maintained to educate responsively, and standard testing is initiated to detect any gaps that the children might have developed during the learning process. A high concentration of language aptitude and mathematical competence is achieved at the end of Grade 6. The Elementary cycles cover grades one through six (ages six to twelve). The medium of instruction is English, although Arabic and French are mandatory for all students. The curriculum aims to develop and integrate many learning skills with the prominence of the achievement of new ideas through reasoning and generality, using reasoning as well as practical experiences. There are various aspects of knowledge that branch out to more than one sector and are consolidated so that they coincide sensibly and successfully. The Elementary Cycles are equipped with a computer lab that accommodates students from Grades 1 to 6 at 24 computer stations stored with various educational software programs. Using the computer lab, students learn how to type and become familiar with software such as Microsoft Office and digital drawing such as Corel Draw. The Elementary cycles are also provided their own library consisting of a large assortment of books, both fiction and non-fiction in all three languages (English, French and Arabic) as well as teacher resources, publications, encyclopedias and video works. Dedicated experts instruct arts, music and physical education. Students with learning problems are supported by competent, qualified teachers who concentrate on those with exceptional needs.
Intermediate: In the intermediate levels, teaching maintains the same methodology of teaching and testing. The program offered includes Mathematics, English, Arabic, French, P.E, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Studies. Students take the classes that prepare them to take the Official Brevet exams. The Intermediate cycle is a three-year cycle covering grades 7 through 9, according to the New Lebanese Curriculum. The Intermediate Cycle Computer Lab accommodates 24 students working on individual, networked terminals as well as demonstration and CD ROM facilities. (photoshop , Microsoft ACCESS AND COREL DRAW) Students are also instructed on Internet research.
